House Puk

The urban design rules for the district and site of House Puk required us to build a traditional style house with red masonry. Basically, this was the starting point but the end result is nonconventional. The archetype form is interpreted as a monolith mass of deep red brick with some holes in it and an entrance zone that is cut from the volume to achieve a canopy.

The experience of the heavy volume on the outside, contrasts with the surprising openness of the interior. The living areas on the ground floor are, loft like organised, around a wooden core. This core include the wardrobe, cupboard, stairs and kitchen.
